Wilson has a diverse background with experience across various investing and operational roles over the past decade. Before joining Providence, Wilson spent several years as an independent sponsor, where he co-led investments in three portfolio companies and became integrally involved in one of them as the CFO. Prior to that, Wilson worked at The Sterling Group, a Houston based private equity firm, where he focused on evaluation and execution of new investments as well as managing existing portfolio companies. He also spent time as the Director of Finance at Lynx FBO, a portfolio company in the general aviation industry, where he helped to double the size of the nationwide network in just two years. He began his career in investment banking, first with Guggenheim Securities and later with Citi’s Global Energy Group, totaling over $25 billion in aggregate transaction experience.
Wilson earned a BS in Commerce with concentrations in Finance and Management from the University of Virginia. He grew up in Dallas, TX, and is married with three children. He enjoys football, golf, reading, and spending time outdoors.
